First Day of School!

Today was the first day of school. We have been taking "First Day of School" pictures since Elsie was in Kindergarten. Because we homeschool it is important to make a few traditions that mark these wonderful occasions. I also love to look back at their pictures with their signs and see how much they have grown.

You can see from the picture that we have a 9th grader, 7th grader, 4th grader, 2nd grader, 1st grader and a Pre-Kindergartener. I am anticipating a busy year, but am also excited to get back into teaching full time. I know that a stay-at-home mom is always teaching, but I am referring to the more structured teaching of homeschool.

My favorite group shot

The classic silly shot
May God bless you and yours as you pursue higher learning, whether it is third grade or graduate work.

Elsie - WELCOME TO HIGH SCHOOL!!! Hm...my favorite part of high school would be that the high schoolers are the "BIG" kids of co-op =)

M&M - WELCOME TO JUNIOR HIGH!!! Oh I liked JH. Hm...favorite memory would have to be...haha playing pioneers ALL THE TIME =p

Sweet Pea - WELCOME TO FOURTH GRADE!!! Haha I don't remember much about 4th grade except that I didn't want to move onto 5th grade because 4th grade was an even number and sounded much better than 5th grade ;)

Pumpkin - WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!! I don't actually remember anything about 2nd grade, however I think the best part about it is that you are older than 1st grade!!

Sunshine - WELCOME TO FIRST GRADE!! You are starting school...congratulations!!! You are going to have a ton of fun this year missy =)

Little Buddy - WELCOME TO PRE-K!! The best part, I think, about PRE-K is that it is always a lot of fun!! ALWAYS!!! have fun this year buddy :)

Sweet Momma - Nope, I didn't forget you...WELCOME TO THE *thinks* 4th, no 6th, no 8th, no 9th year of homeschooling!!! (At least I think thats right) I know that you have put a lot of thought into this year and you have a lot of amazing things planned for your kids as they all journey through another year. I hope that you have fun with it as well!! And I'm sorry, I can't share any favorite memory about being a homeschooling mom because I haven't been one yet :p

Love you guys!! Hope you all have a FABULOUS year!!
